I'll do a bit of research to see if I can confirm it is Miss Bateman, Pam.

I noticed that intensity of stripes, freckles, spots etc on Clematis will depend the situation where they are grown, the weather [Sun or no Sun] and whether or not the Clematis has been grown from seed or cuttings. Cuttings always come "true" whereas seed grown clematis can vary from slight to dramatically.:dunno::snork:

I agree, it's a cracking Clematis..........which is why I'm going to try to confirm it's identity and buy it!!:heehee:

I see Simbad yours has a fainter stripe, as ArmandII says both are lovely, but I think i have had a happy accident and prefer Miss Bateman, I like her stripe.

They're looking very healthy, strongy :dbgrtmb:

Ours are looking rather poorly after the long dry spell but are just starting to pick up.
