Lovely pictures, Woo and Roders. I was walking through a park the other day which had an avenue of flowering cherries (I'm too ignorant to know which sort) and caught a whiff of scent ... couldn't place it for a while, and then I remembered. It was just like those 'bitter cherry' boiled sweets my mum used to buy years ago!

Last week's warm weather brought the Kerria out.

The hard winter seems to have helped the tree peonies and this has 14 buds on it so far.

This ceanothus is ready to open but some others have opened and some aren't showing buds yet.

Lovely photos everyone. Some hot colours from me ...

Between the sunshine and showers over the weekend I managed to capture the first blooms on my Alstroemeria which overwintered well in a pot here ...

And I just love my Cuphea llavea, just wish it was a bit bushier as it's a bit leggy ...

My most disliked flower bloomed yesterday ... I say 'nost' because it is invasive and I cannot get rid of it .... in the gravel, cracks in paths ... you name it .. NEVER plant it in the ground ...
