What's Looking Good in September

I just love those Mediterranean images Victoria.

I love looking at all your gorgeous photos. I haven't anything exotic to offer, but here is my common or garden hardy fuchsia. I've sometimes been a bit sniffy about fuchsias but I must admit that they're difficult to beat if you're trying to cheer up a miserable corner. This one has been in bloom for months and is still going strong in possibly the least promising place in my garden, producing large red and magenta flowers on a nice bushy plant. Snails seem to leave it alone entirely. Bees, on the other hand, like it. All in all a great, easy plant.

Your Fuchsia is doing a great job in that corner, ClaraLou.

This yellow daisy plant is doing a great job in a dull corner for me. It's about 6' high and covered in flowers. I don't know what it is but everyone in the town has some, I think bits just get passed on to neighbours.

And my edibles are looking good. I don't know what to do with the pumpkin - except take its piccie.

That daisy looks like helianthus 'lemon queen', Alice. I believe it's a perennial relative of the sunflower. I have a big clump of it too. I love the fact that it gets going just as all the summer stuff gives up and the way it is always buzzing with insects.

The edibles are looking lovely!
