Well they got into the conservatory for an hour today, when the temperature got over 9C as the sub peaked out momentarily at 4PM ... back in the corridor again now. If no one trips over something and flattens the lot this Spring that will be a major bonus!

I told Mrs K they were vegetables so that she thinks they have a value ... not sure that any of them are actually poisonous ... but not sure I'd want to eat any of them either!

Kristen, it doesn't seem appropriate to hit the like button on the posts here. :heehee:

I've got 25 trays of seedlings and pots suffering in a spare room with the heated propagator still working on more, do I stop now or take the chance and carry on?

I've also got a new bed to finish digging out so that a lot of the above can be planted there, it's currently under a snowdrift. :gaah:

I had to get another propagator , just to cope with the bulbs , but as soon as the seeds are coming out they die because of the cold room and lack of sunshine .
I can`t move the seedling around as my cats will have them all .

apparently england will have a heat wawe in 3 weeks time

ps managed to get a 22w propagator at £30 including p&p on ebay

Yes Joolz. I've gone a bit berserk with seeds this year, most of them are perennials though.

Just looked around the front garden, the plants have generally just given up.. Euphorbia mellifera's leaves have just collapsed.. and thing is once collapsed they wont grow back from that stem, so quite a knock back really. Then again it'll get killed back in the next few years anyway with severe winters and what not, but still not nice to see!

This is a difficult one because I expect quite a lot of things to look rough at this time of the year, but anyway.

                        From left to right.
Musella lasiocarpa, Musa basjoo, Ensete marelii.
I expect all to survive and look good this summer. March 13 029.jpg

                        Hedychium gardnerianum.
Could be another couple of months before this makes a move.
