What's this munching on our eucalyptus tree? :-/

    Is this bad? Looks worrying but not sure is it honey fungus or something else?

    The tree had it's bark split by cold 2 years ago you can also see the cracking. This is an isolated area and in general the leaves are healthy...

    Forgot to say - the cold snap down to -10c was what caused us to have to pollard it as shown.

    Its not Honey Fungus, but some form of bracket.

    Not a tree surgeon/expert but might be an idea to prune back the branch to the main trunk. I had the same sort of fungus growing on a dead branch of an ancient beech. Pruned the dead branch off and the fungus disappeared.

    hallo Gearoi,
    your poor Eucalyptus must be suffering with its injury in all this very cold spell and is thus vulnerable to invasion. I hope that someone on here can offer hopeful advice, meantime have a wander around the forums,
