A coach trip to Salisbury with our walking group, in the rain but it stopped just as we were about to set off on our 5 mile walk and had sun for most of it, then it rained back in the city but we still didn't get wet. A better day than we expected. Max 16c

Yesterday afternoon the light rain (they promised heavy rain :noidea:) stopped and the sun came out. During the rain the temperature dropped but soon picked up again.

Now, at 4.20 a.m. it is 50F/10C but not a hint of sunshine. :heehee:

            Sunday 2nd October

Sunny and bright this morning with the occasional cloud . .
Forecast says this will last all day . . .
Could do with some rain, my butts are getting empty again!

My dog 'Rez' loves this weather as he knows we both spend most of the time in the garden. He gets quite excited as I put on my boots :)

Well we were warned we'd get a frost in the countryside and yup they were right for a change. Luckily my pelargoniums are close to the house so they are ok (I lift and store them for the following season, this lot are about 5 years old), my Dahlias however are now quite blackened so I'd better get going and lift them. Glorious day with brilliant blue skies and NOW quite warm....winter is coming boo.

A top temperature of 59f with horizon to horizon blue skies all through the morning. Then in the afternoon a small army of fluffy white clouds trundled overhead without blocking the Sun and then by around 4pm the skies cleared again.
I had a good lesson of Physics this morning when opening the Shutter of the Observatory, so that I could track the Sun with the Scope, when the warmer air outside met the colder air in the Observatory and my Scope lens and mount immediately was soaked in "Dew":wallbanging::gaah:. The whole lot had to be wiped down and made dry before I could use it and I was amazed just how much water there was!!:hate-shocked:
Anyway, the lesson has been learnt and I will keep it covered when opening the Shutter tomorrow morning. The forecast is for fine and dry weather here in Cheshire for at least up to Wednesday:hapydancsmil::hapfeet:So I'll be tracking the Sun during the day and Star gazing in the, hopefully, clear night skies.
Right now the temperature is 47f and the pressure reading is 1024mbs.:coffee::snorky:

Yesterday turned out to be fairly warm and sunny with a high of 70F, but it dropped to 38.9F in the night. As the sun is now shining brightly the temperature should rise quickly to a forecast 17C by 1 p.m.
