@silu thank you for the explanation. I've only ever picked up dog poo. Using an inverted plastic bag. Always made sure I grabbed only the warm ones. Didn't want to start a collection. ..

 

I'm not complaining @silu but I didn't expect to see any snow this side of New Year, if at all.
I'm not saying anything about the heating, don't want to tempt fate!

so anyone up for a snowball fight

 

No snow here....yet but there is a saying about it being too cold to snow?. The outside tap is frozen solid as is the hose which supplies the trough for the horse so there is nothing for it but to get water from our little burn. I hasten to add the photo of said burn doesn't really illustrate what it looks like today. In the photo it looks reasonably inviting, today not so much!

This task is not that easy and if I don't post for a while it might well be that I've done a nosedive into said burn, who'd have large animals when the weather is like this.
Hope everyone is staying warm and that this cold spell won't last till March

-2c last night and a cold sunny start but no wind and a max of 5c, so a proper winter's day!!

Had a nice 6 mile walk north of Swanage this morning with 18 others and it only clouded over when we finished.

 

Lovely hard frost but with glorious sunshine today
