still 1 hour of sleet forecast, to be followed by 3 hours of heavy snow.

We got 1 hour of sleet, followed by 1 hour of very light sleet (forecast still showing heavy snow), and now we're into the forecast 2nd hour of heavy snow it's completely stopped!

Think the BBC must be reading the Daily Express forecasts!

EDIT: Now into the 3rd supposed hour of "heavy snow" and still not a single flake in sight, seems like unrefined, blanket forecasts issued for large areas, and only some parts actually getting snow.

I laughed at the weather forecast and the fact that, on the news, they had cancelled 150 flights from Heathrow.

When I got home from shopping at 5 p.m. it was peeing down and my car said that it was 6C out there. Quite unpleasant when trying to bring bags in whilst holding an umbrella up :snork:

It's now 6.15 p.m., my weather station is showing it is 32F/0C and we already have half an inch of snow on the driveway. :noidea: The snow is continuing to fall.

There were a couple of snow showers but it didn't start to settle until dusk when I took this picture around 4pm. There's been more since but I'll have to wait until morning now to see the outcome and at the moment my area is being promised snow showers until Sunday. The temperature held at 1C/34F until late afternoon and is currently -1C/30F.

2 ins plus here at the moment, come down in the last hour, and it's still falling and getting colder.

Nothing nowt denada! not even a tickling of snow and now no wind altho it was blowing a hoolie the night before last. Pretty cold now but was glorious here all day with wall to wall sunshine. Got quite a bit done in the garden so definitely not complaining......however, who knows what tomorrow will bring:)
