    Good morning yet another warm fine day in the life of an Owl,I waited a long time for the summer,when I think back to January minus 10 ,snow,loads of wet dark mornings ,I can live with this for a while longer;):blue thumb:

            Looks like @Zigs has had some rain, and the national press have rushed photographers to the scene of this now rare event, desperate for pics of people in soggy cagoules.

                          It's now only 31 deg C. Trucks turning into tight junctions have been pulling up soft tarmac in the village today. I took yet another 100 galls of water to my plot this morning and put 30 galls on my spuds being grown for heaviest potato class, but about an hour ago whilst furtling around removing more of the smaller ones they were ready to water again.

                          We get up at 5:00 am to walk our dog before it heats up and I don't know how dogs with late rising owners are coping, especially those who's owners employ dog walkers whilst they're out at work.

                          No rain forecast here for at least 2 weeks.

                          On the way to water our plot for the third time today, saw a builder about to chuck 6 pallets in a skip and rescued them for stove fuel, but I'm sure he thought we were mental collecting firewood in a heatwave.

                              Well what can you really say every day :dunno:...it's hot and very humid and I've come to using any old bit of crap I can lay my hands on [​IMG]

                              Temp in doors today reached 79F :phew: so it must have been in it's 80's out doors :cry3:
