Thunder and lightning last night but no rain. It looks very much as though the heavens will open this morning but nothing yet.

Currently 17c, nice and fresh with a light breeze, going to 27c and breezy.

Have friends coming for lunch but will get a take away, maybe fish and chips and enjoy the garden.

I touched 24 earlier and looked like the sun was going to come out but pretty grim looking now and only 22.

What do you mean "on the plus side there's no rain?" woman! And yes, you guys are never satisfied! :nonofinger: It is too hot, it is too cold, it is too dry, it is too wet ... look back at what you all said the past couple of weeks! You got what you wanted and now want rid of it. It is true everyone says all the Brits can talk about is the weather. (.. .and I am as guilty as times :rolleyespink: ).
Yes, I have :phew: recently but that was a bad period even for here and I would love some of your now unwanted rain you begged for last week.

Any old how, today we have been blessed with a beautiful 26c with fresh breeze and had a KFC lunch on the lower patio with our friends ... enough left for dinner. I have been a fan since day dot. :chicken: T'other Half actually met The Colonel in the mid 50s.

Vicky sorry for the confusion, the reason being when you post on linked topics over several threads your posts may seemed muddled . On Yawn, yawn I posted about getting out into the garden today and doing all the tasks that the heat had prevented me from doing, so I was thankful ( + side) at being able to do so without any rain to stop me. The garden is looking revived after our downpour yesterday and our forecast stated that we are ( hopefully ) in for more tonight...which is perfect timing!:blue thumb: I am perfectly satisfied with short ,sharp downpours every so often rather than the prolonged bouts of rain that we seem to get once the rains here decide to make an appearance.

Most of the day was cloudy but it wasn't so hot and it was more comfortable, later in afternoon the sun came out and got hotter but bearable.

Some light rain in the early hours followed by a misty morning. The sun arrived lunch time with wall to wall blue sky and a slight breeze. 24C/75F

Our promised rain came last night and watered the garden, more rain due once again late afternoon / evening. So another great opportunity to get things done before another watering!! A high of 22C.today. :)
