WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER LIKE - 2021

It is 18f (-7c) and there is lots of snow on the ground. But we're going to gradually warm up to above freezing by the weekend. Our usual rollercoaster until January and then it just stays cold.

I'm lucky that I don't have to go out in heavy traffic because this type of morning provides super slippery roads! I hope the young people out there drive safely

 

Barra was no Arwen thankfully and the only stuff blown in the garden seems to be leaves from elsewhere, a small compost bin bonus. Otherwise, a return to familiar greyness overhead.

 

We didn't get the storm over here, or if we did it wasn't as bad as predicted. It was a bit windy over night but nothing out of the ordinary.
Today has been blustery interspersed with quiet periods, and we've had lots of blue sky with sunshine and a few showers.
It doesn't feel very cold either

 

Still 40mph+ winds here , after a stormy night , 7c but with wind chill feels more like 2c.
Ruffles up my fur something rotten !

 

That is about how we have been today. Currently sun breaking through ominous clouds, windy and warm.

 

Last night part of a large tree came down, down by the woods.

 

The storm yesterday was nothing unusual, the wind appeared to drop as soon as the rain stopped late afternoon , and overnight was fairly quiet.
Today has been mostly sunny with enough wind to dry things up.

It does tend to look scary to others @Upsydaisy but it's quite a common occurrence on the island. The only upset it causes is when people are trying to get too and from work as there are no major roads there. There were no fatalities you'll be pleased to know.
