Just don't bend anything whilst they are frozen. We used to do "swimming pool haircuts" by folding wet braids whilst walking from the pool back to school (a 20 mins walk). Thinner braids snapped cleanly off when fully frozen.

Come to think of it, how horrendous... Social Services, where were you? :yikes: :heehee:

Fine, no rain up to about 10°C. Gentle breeze from the south.

A little bit of light cloud but the sun is up. Currently 9c going to 15c. It is calm this morning and hope it keeps that way.

I remember when it used to get very cold ... we kept the butter on the outside windowsill and set our jellies there, and the milk looked like this ...

Still hovering around zero here, frost on top of frost so it looks pretty. Quite foggy, no wind.

Never heard of that drying clothes trick @Selleri , good tip.

I can remember the milk Vicky!!

I can cope with the cold ( outside) as long as I'm appropriately dressed, I find it invigorating and a breath of fresh air after being in a heated house throughout the winter months......but definitely need to see some sunshine....a crisp cold morning is beautiful.

I might change my mind in a coup!e of days time though.:roflol:

As we don't have a centrally heated house, it is slightly different here. We heat room by room as needed and we are fairly open plan with arches to kitchen and foyer from the lounge. There is no door to our bedroom which is off the foyer. We have heat/air units in the kitchen, lounge and both bedrooms and of course the wood fireplace in the lounge. So here it is not stifling heat. Of course, we have lots of sunshine even in winter.

It is cloudy and -20c or -4f. The clothes washer is started and I have a line ready to string across the deck and to hang the jeans and other heavy things out there. Experiment #1. :)

The guessers say that the clouds will clear out but it won't get much warmer. And tomorrow it will be colder and super clear skies.
