Whats Your Weather Like 2025

There was a heavy mist first thing and it’s still cloudy now, but should be lifting soon to reveal a hot sun. 20 at the moment (perfect?) but the curtains and windows will be firmly shut this afternoon when it reaches 29 (too hot).

 

Going to be a hot one today at 31c and full sun. The lawns are burnt to a crisp and lots of plants aren't their full height. I cannot remember the last time we had rain.

 

A lovely start to the day, like many I was dead heading roses and pottering just after 6.00 am, now 18 degrees, a bit of cloud but rather hot with a warm breeze, still we could have a frost in less than three months time, so making the most of it.

 

Just going out to potter a bit and do the necessary. It is not 9.30 yet and 32c.

Already hot at 25.4 inside and predicted up to 29 degrees outside today. Overnight 20- think I’ll sleep in the garden then

 

It clouded over at about half past five yesterday afternoon so I got a couple of hours gardening done. Planted lots of things out and gave them a good watering (and watered the planting holes first). I'm back to London from tomorrow until Thursday so I reckoned they stand a better chance in the ground than in the pots with no-one to water (permanent containers are on drip irrigation but not the "waiting to be planted" stuff).

Today is hot already and forecast to get to 33° later, but I must go out and water again this evening, regardless. The forecast is showing a possibility of rain on Wednesday but the probability isn't anywhere near high enough to rely on it.

Sunny with a few clouds this afternoon, but all vanished now.
32c, which is just a touch over 9 ft 0ins for those still on the old system.

 

We were at 38+ all afternoon then 39.7c for an hour now back to 38c.

 

7pm and it's too hot to linger outside the back door. My first lily has opened.

 

I’ve heard the term ‘tropical night’ associated with heat waves. I think it’s when the night time temp doesn’t drop below 20 degrees. It is supposed to drop to 18/19 here, so not tropical but the inside temp would qualify. I doubt it will be less than 24 in bedroom.

 

It was 30c in my bedroom when I looked about an hour ago, I've got the windows open front and back to get a through flow of air its down to 26c outside now.
