A bit more overnight rain and we have had a rumble of thunder, main rain due later this afternoon, a breezy cloudy 16 degrees just now, which is most pleasant.

Good morning still up here in the East Midlands and we’re blessed with RAIN set until this evening. Put your watering cans away at least I know my hanging-baskets are being watered it’s 21C here.

Yesterday stayed muggy all day followed by a very uncomfortable night. Then it started raining at about half past eight or so. Proper rain too, not just the mizzly drizzly stuff. According to the weather radars it's coming from the east/south which is fairly unusual, and perhaps why we're getting proper rain this time - no mountains/hills in the way!

And there's a reasonably likelihood of more during the day, with better temperatures too .

Reading with envy your comments about rain.
We had 10 minutes of light rain, less than 500 ml from the 3 sqm greenhouse.
            It’s cloudy and maybe 21c.

But with good old British Weather it won't know when to stop:whistle:

It is lovely to hear about all of the rain happening for some.

We had a bit but nothing major however the temps just settled right down and it has been lovely having the windows wide open.

It is 61f about 15c and not going up beyond comfortable. The guessers say we're going back in the furnace by week's end but for now, this is absolutely lovely. Perfect :spinning:

Soft, gentle spells of rain with a light cloudy sky.
                    Absolutely no breeze at all.
                    Perfect for the plants ,

Nice and dry this morning but we have 3 weather warnings now. Despite that great start to summer/late spring we are well on course for another very wet summer, with may june and now July above average rainfall. Still feels like a much better summer than last year though

It keeps trying to stop raining but cant manage it, I assume it will around 4pm as usual, then a dry night and rain forecast again for tomorrow.
The schools packed up last week around here so it likely to be like this until september at the earliest, also the hosepipe ban started yesterday, the odds are stacked against us.

I'm looking at my toms which look very good outside up to now, I just hope they dont all split.
Could possibly help the sweetcorn which is forming cobs.

I got 17 mm of rain, mostly early, just a couple of mm during the day but it took most of the day to drop it.

The rain stopped at about 4 this afternoon. 15.5mm in the gauge, which is the most we've had in a day since 5th January. There's a small possibility of some more later and tomorrow, and going into the next week. I would be very happy with 15mm once a week, every week.
