Finally getting some rain, although not for extended periods. It looks like we had quite a bit overnight as the road still look wet.

We got another shower yesterday evening bringing the day's total rainfall to 1.5mm. Not as much as was forecast, but better than nothing. There's a small chance of a shower this afternoon, then just maybe some proper rain tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Just hosed it down here! 5 mins but deluge! Looks like we missed clearing a gutter as it’s pouring over the top!

Doing some work in the garden, 20c, seeking shelter in the greenhouse in between when it rains a bit. A mix of sunshine, blue sky, white clouds, dark clouds, and rain. What a lovely day. Why can’t be summer like this?

After the wet start it's been dry, up till now,:fingers crossed:, and fairly sunny all afternoon.

Doesn't look like its going to stay dry TBH.

I've just been emptying all the various containers I left out, and there was at least an inch in them. I have a small dustbin I store rainwater in and it's gone from almost empty to nearly half full today. (The only reason it wasn't completely empty is that I dip a watering can in to use it, so it's hard to get to the last little bit). The pond is well topped up too, and the ground underneath the trees is wet for the first time in months.

Dry and cloudy most of the day. Having been promised a thunderstorm that didn't happen the sun came out to play about 6pm. 21C/70F
