The sun is trying to peep out of the clouds, but the clouds are set to take over this afternoon and heavy rain is expected tonight.

Good morning all ,it was a windy night and still windy a high of 10c, a rain shower or two later.

 

Rainy/windy/mild day ahead. Around 11c at the most.

 

I wrapped the tree fern believing it would be cold, but 7c over night.
We have sunshine currently, just back from an hour walk. Heading now to Burford. Enjoy while it lasts.

No rain forecast here, only from tomorrow afternoon on.

It is 11f -11c and the guessers say it won't get much warmer today. Nobody's got a gun at my back forcing me to go outside so I'm fine.

Heavy rain all day today and for tomorrow; the high wind coming up the valley is perishing. It's settled into a pattern; the clouds drop the heavy rain for a day or two then return to base to fill up leaving a single dry day then they return to drop another load of heavy rain; the gardens never have chance to dry.

Months ago I bought a small powerful pressure washer solely for use on the car saving dragging the big pressure washer and extensive hose down to the driveway; I used the new pressure washer once spraying the car with snow foam; spraying the foam away then drying the car with a leather. Then came the hosepipe ban and a couple of days ago the ban was finally lifted; now it keeps bucketing down with rain.

It's just the way things are with the weather; if I buy a kite the wind will die ending up with a dead calm; I'm often told I should embrace the weather because there's nothing I can do to change it; yes there is something I can do; I've got wellies and waterproofs so I'm not complaining I just carry on doing what I want to do; yesterday in the garden though was an exception; I was well wrapped up working for an hour until the high bitterly cold wind finally drove me indoors; I finished the job I was doing though before quitting.
