Cloudy/misty start here. O'night low was 11 degrees, and it's about 13 just now [8.20 am] with a predicted high of around 16 degrees. Rain to come in properly later today.

Yesterday was sunny all day, with a high of 21, but I was away on a hill enjoying it with a good breeze! There was some thundery rain later afternoon, but fortunately daughter brought the washing in.

It's double blobs all day till 7pm, then single blobs all night. At least it's not windy too.

After several very hot days this morning is overcast and quite cool. Breezy.

Daughter and son in law had a very hot weekend in the Lake District participating in a company fund raising event. The canoeing section started Sat. 6.00am and was glorious. Lake like a mill pond, clear blue sky and a mountain back drop. The cycling and running sections were very hot!

No rain yesterday (the forecast was over-optimistic on that score, as it often is), but we have good steady rain this morning, forecast to carry on for most of the day.

It is now cooler than when I left 3 hours ago to go to physio this morning. The forecast says sunny spells but it has in fact been a series of torrential downpours so heavy I had to slow to 30kp on the way home and there was stream running down the road thru the village.

OH is supposed to be strimming clear areas round the poplar, mimosa and walnut which are for the chop when the tree surgeon can get here but his big petrol strimmer is on strike and it's not clever using the leccy one in the rain cos he needs the 50m extension.

Light rain and a gentle breeze from the west north west temp 14c feels like 14c.
We managed to get Berry out with no problems but didn't go the same way as usual, but enough.

Wind is getting up and the barometer is dropping, I guess the heavy rain is on it's way, 14 degrees though, so our morning walk round the village was pleasant enough.

It is a nice morning so far. 69f 16c and sunny again and the guessers say we're going up to 75F approx. 20c. :) I do think that we could use some of the rain that many of you are receiving. Things are getting a bit dry. I'll use the low flow irrigation for the garden beds and hanging pots and greenhouse denizens. If it continues to be dry, I'll put on the big sprinkler system. I hope I don't have to do that. :fingers crossed:
