Thankfully the central heating was sorted this morning. Can't praise my local council enough. Notified them of the fault yesterday afternoon on line. Rec'd email last evening advising engineer would be attending today. Now it's 23.46 21/11/18 and the cars outside are all white. Oh for the pleasure of not starting out for work at 04.00

      Keep warm folks.

The car was frozen over last night when I was coming home at 11 p.m. The car said it was -2C at that time.

                    At 4 a.m. it was 26F and had soared to 32F by 7 a.m.

It was supposed to be sunny, but the grey clouds gradually gathered with drizzle from early afternoon. Cold too at 1C/34F.

Minus 2C, overnight, first real frost this season, so a lot of dead stuff around by the time I came home from work late afternoon.
You get that smell of dead foliage all around.

                                0 F that is your -17 C..

My chicken waterer will freeze if I don't cover the drink spouts. The barrel is heated with a pond heater. The greenhouse could freeze is we don't keep the pellet stove running all night. although we have a back up kerosene heater that will automatically take over...if all gos as planned..

There is allot to worry about with all the animals...Alice should be OK we have about 6 different heat sources for her.

Even though she loves it out in the snow, she can not stay out there very long. She must have heat...so she is a big worry for me..
