On the chilly side this morning but once the sun came out it's warmed everything up and is now a mild Autumnal day. Just the damp patches from the over night rain need to dry up.

Our weather continues to be droughting all day and all night :heehee: The farmers have their sprinklers going constantly. I'm sure that I saw some birds in the fields with shampoo and towels. :snork:

Cold nights and sunny, but nippy days.

Dry with a top temperature of around 54f with plenty of cloud and little sunshine. The skies started to clear around 6pm but there seems to be plenty of cloud to the South. Right now the temperature is 44f and the pressure reading is 1016mbs.
It's taken me some time to realise that despite the relentless cloud trundling overhead for most of the Spring and Summer and even into the Autumn it's been a dry year with regard to actual rain. It's true that we've had the isolated heavy shower but not the prolonged rain that my sandy, fast draining garden would like...so plenty of cloud but no real rain:dunno::doh::scratch::snorky:

It's quite mild at 15C....not bad for mid October. We've had a bit of sunshine too.

Nice day until I got home to the shady garden. Wet lawn and cool.I think by next week a frost will have knocked out this summer fowers. Time to fleece and get other plants wrapped ready for the freeze. Just need to get some square straw bales for the treeferns now and quickly. Only 6 months ish till summer

The last few days have been quite sunny with a cool northerly wind. It rained yesterday evening but we've had a very clear, and extremely bright moonlit night. It has started drizzling but the sun is still managing to put on a display.

Like Shy Knee, the moon was very bright!
Then, as the sun came up, it bathed the garden in a beautiful orange glow.
When I went to the back door, I saw the full arc of a rainbow :hapydancsmil:

The temperature soared to a "huge" 51f today and the morning started off with heavy showers, much to the disgust of the two cats, who made their morning patrol of the garden short. Most of the day was full of showers and a fairly strong Westerly breeze so anything I had wanted to do outdoors today was postponed. Right now the temperature is 49f with a pressure reading of 1020mbs and there's still plenty of showers out there:coffee::snorky:
