My three brugs were in the greenhouse, overwintering, when I went into hospital last year and there they remained throughout the spring and into the scorching heat of summer, with not even a drop of water, so I lost them.

I am hoping to get a couple this year, but was wondering where would be considered best to buy them from (I cannot for the life of me remember where my last ones came from!)

      Hi @joolz68 :)

I will look out for that one - I am happy with any of the colours to be honest, for me it is all about that scent.........

Any suggestions for a good supplier?

          Thanks @joolz68

I have asked for an email alert when they get them back in stock. I'd worry about yours getting damaged at this time of the year, even if it was fit for a cutting.

There are several outlets on the internet.
          Gardens 4you
          Bakker.com
          Amazon uk.co
          gardencentrekoeman.co

I am sure that once the new season gets underway, there will be more suppliers. Bets of luck.

@pete did your Grand Marnier and Sanguinea survive after the hot summer we had?

Hi FC, I can send you some rooted cuttings of pink, white, yellow and variegated leaf/cream flowers. PM me your address and I can either send them straight away or wait until the worst of the cold weather is over. Make the most of the offer before the portcullis comes down, though!:roflol:

Hi FC, I have some cuttings overwintering. I have plenty of the variegated ones that @noisette sent me and am happy to share with you. I also have insurance cuttings of 'Flower Dream' (originally given to me by Kristen) plus some prolific white flowered 'suaveolens' from a plant I grew from seed.

Might be best to wait till May as the worst of the cold weather should be over by then

I thought that sanguinea was almost impossible to get going from a cutting. Seems that this isn't the case.

We exchanged cuttings last year with brug growers. We don't seem to have much success with cuttings taken late in the year so will be taking cuttings from zunni spider mid summer(ish)

I've been looking on ebay for some recently, I used to have one not last year the year before, it never flowered I didn't realised at the time they were such greedy plants and the red spider mite :gaah: I tried to store it dry that failed as well, I don't know why I tried to store it dry it wasn't even that big :doh:GC didn't have any last year so didn't bother.

I've been looking at these as well Acnistus australis they are a small trumpet version of brugmansia but blue and supposedly harder.

                  Hi John,

Only if you have spare going, I wouldn't want to deplete your insurance stock. I am merely in the planning stages at the moment anyway :)

If possible, that would be lovely @Vince, but I really don't want to put anyone out, or have them damage their plants :)

                      How are you doing now?
