make wheelbarrows with a plug hole in the bottom?
I want to empty my containers into a wheelbarrow and zush the compost up with a bit of fertiliser. But it's probably going to rain and I'll end up with soup.
A plug hole would allow it to drain.

I suspect because they think we'd lose the plug. You could always drill some small holes...

The plug could be on a chain

Could you not rest its hind legs on a couple of bricks so that the front of the barrow is lower than the back?

Drill a couple of small holes, about 6mm diameter.
You can always fill them if your doing some concreting.;)

You could cover over the wheelbarrow with a tarpaulin (£5) to stop the rain and keep the compost clean or fit something like one of these drain holes and plug ( £8) covering the open drain with a bit of cloth etc when dealing with fine compost.

Can you not see if a neighbour will drill a couple of holes, for a small bung.

Why not wait until it is not raining?
