Packets of fifty x 110 x 102mm manilla wage packet envelopes (useful for seed saving) are now only 25p/pkt.

P.S. Just read on another forum (HUKD) that Wilkos Bournemouth have reduced all their seeds to 20p/pkt. However, when I was in my local Wilkos this morning there were no seeds to be seen anywhere, and checking their website, Wilkos seeds are still full price (but 3 for 2 as before) online. Might we worth having a look instore if passing.

Good idea. I have had people send me seed in plastic mini zip-lock bags before, the seeds stick to the plastic with static electricity, and those "greaseproof paper" style seed bags,or brown envelopes, are definitely much better

England car flags now reduced from 45p to 23p each in Wilkos. No need to rush as they've as they've still got loads of them.

Wilkos potato grow bags in packs of 2 x 42L capacity made of green woven polypropylene reduced to 50p (from £3.28). All their vegetable, herb, strawberry, salad etc. grow bags in various capacities also reduced to 50p, but some of these only have 1 bag per pack.

If you're in to growing trees or shrubs to a large size for sale or until you have a place to plant them I find these bags (the 2 x 42l ones) make great containers for them, they have two handles to aid moving them and can be cut off when it comes round to planting, which is easier than trying to tap them out of a large pot..and they're cheap as chips if you get them when they're being sold off :dbgrtmb:

Good idea Bilbo. We saw these in Wilkos whilst walking to somewhere else and were trying to think of alternative uses for them (as I normally use B&Q rubble bags for my spuds) to justify buying a few on the way back, which I did because I knew I'd think of loads of uses later and regret not buying any.

Taken a pic of the label - what about car welly bags?

I discovered a week ago that we have a newly opened Wilko's on the island, problem is it's 20 miles away. Is it worth using the petrol do you think?

Depends on what you need, Sheal. If you're in the vicinity one day it's worth popping in for a browse.:snork:

It's worth calling in when you see bargains/deals/cheap stuff posted for products you know your 'local' store sells that would make the expenditure on fuel for a 40 mile round trip possibly worthwhile.

If you visit Wilko's website http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/ you can check out prices and also order reduced stuff to collect at your nearest store, which would remove potential frustrations such as finding the seeds you wanted were not in stock when you visited.

If you join Quidco and order to collect instore (or have delivered if the additional charge works out cheaper) you can get 4% cashback on all of your online purchases http://www.quidco.com/wilkinson-plus/ including on 'sale' & 'reduced' items.

Thanks Scrungee, that's a great help. :) Now the other problem is, can I resist the temptation just to go and have a nosey around. The only other place I visit in the area is my dentist and with appointments six months apart, I don't think I can force myself to wait that long. :heehee:

All bamboo canes now half price.

Best of all was finding some of these, normally around £17.50 reduced to £3.00 because Wilkos are changing over to their own brand of homebrew stuff. Even with the cost of the sugar required it'll work out at less than 20p a bottle:

These are now 75% off in our store....:blue thumb:

Top tip for Wilko's sales at the moment is visit as often as possible, things are being added on an almost daily basis. Whilst I was in there today reed/heather/fern screening was put on sale at 50% off, lots of plant feeds and insectacides are also reduced but are still mixed in on the shelves so you have to have a good look..:dbgrtmb:
