a friend of mine has a friend who has offered to make me something in willow for my garden

i have had a look at living willow sculpture and seating and tbh i think my garden isnt big enough so i am thinking of asking hime to make me something for the sweet peas to climb - i use canes atm but they are not pretty

any ideas or suggestions would be welcome

Sounds like an obelisk would be a good option?

Hmm, not to hand but a google images search would surely turn up a tonne! Or you could design one yourself - that would be a really nice gift:)

    Hi Loopy,

I've just made an obelisk out of old roof tile batons, I would have preffered one in willow but made my own due to the fact that I could not find one 7ft+ tall. I too will be growing Sweet peas up mine and they always grow a minimum of 6ft+ so a biggish willow obelisk could be one idea.

Or how about a bed edging made from willow, or a small hurdle, trellis arch..all these could be made to suit a particular spot in your garden. Found these two things that might spark an idea for you.
