Saw it on the telly when the commentators showed it but not I am not on Twitter.Sounds like he was having a bad day and reminded me of some else having a rant years ago....YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS?

Serena Williams,Grow up and let someone else have a chance at winning.Your racket didn't deserve to get the beating you gave it and glad you got a warning.

 

While in no way condoning the various outbursts it is pretty difficult to keep your emotions in check when you are passionate about something. There isn't much point in playing any sport seriously unless you want to win at it IMO. I played the game at a high level and plead guilty to breaking the odd racket! Who hasn't sworn and "thrown the toys out the pram" on occasions but perhaps not had the world watching your every move. In their early careers Federer, Borg and Henman to name but a few were horrifically badly behaved but managed to learn to control themselves.

I don't think you become the greatest women's tennis player of all time in most people's opinion by being charming unfortunately! Professional tennis isn't quite the same as a gentile ladies doubles played at the local tennis club.

 

I saw her throw her racket and it hit the camera man. With not even an apology to him (basic manners). She did however retrieve it after the match an sight it for one of the fans.
