Good afternoon this morning Woo went to Halfpenny Lane in Cobham to fly the drone but was asked to leave by the farmer who was obviously having a bad day because he was rude, arrogant, belligerent and tried to be a bully, but I soon sorted him out and I shall be returning there tomorrow;)

Nice pictures. Sorting out the farmer? Are people allowed to visit private property without the owner's permission over there? Here, you'd get in big trouble for doing that. And there are some nice farms I wouldn't mind walking through. :blue thumb:

I think it called "the right to roam", or some such thing.
Must admit if I owned land I'd be a bit wary, especially of people with drones :roflol::roflol::roflol:

Me, I'd love to own land, but dont think I ever will.;)
Seriously though, people that own land these days are up against it to some extent, you only have to see the crime that goes on around farms, from sheep rustling to machinery theft, and flying a drone over is probably a good way of looking at the lie of the land and what is ripe for picking.
Enjoy your drone but keep it on public land I would suggest.
If you flew it over my house or garden I wouldn't be impressed.:)

It's the middle of harvest time so farmers are working all daylight hours with an eye on the forecast thunderstorms. Be careful WOO they might not all be so tolerant.

Yes, if one flew around my back garden I'd probably just shoot it down. Over a big empty field, not so intrusive. I am glad you've got permission to go back :dbgrtmb:

I don't see anything wrong with it. As long as the drone flies below 400ft and no closer than 50 metres of a person or building you're allowed to do so. If you're on a permitted footpath or road then there's no problem.

Keep it up @wiseowl :blue thumb:

I think we all agree we love the landscapes you capture with your drone. Some numpty out there might use one for snooping but regal old birds like yourself @wiseowl would never stoop to that nonsense!

Please keep posting your birdseye views please!
