    Good afternoon everyone and thank you all for your advice and input,it is very much appreciated my friends,what is the earliest I can put some plants in ie Oxygenators ect :smile:

    10 ft x 8 ft x 5 ft deep

      I would say late March/early April just as they come into growth , don't fall in Woo while you raise it up to the correct level though ;) wet feathers on a Owl NOT A GOOD LOOK upload_2014-12-29_14-29-51.jpeg

        Had to empty the pond to day,to find my missing Iris which a fox or cat pushed it in the pond;)

          Hi Woo.,
          please dont put golden orfe in your pond,
          The pond looks good, but I killed 10 orfe in my pond a few years ago.

          They need lots of space and more importantly lots of oxygen.

          Just go for some common old goldfish.:)

            Good evening @pete I have taken your sound advice on board and I am thinking of leaving it as a wildlife pond with no fish,what do you think,I have had a large heron visiting every day:smile:

                  I dont know.you cant beat watching orfe darting about . Having said that my pond is netted to protect from a huge heron thts been around for a few years now. It grabbed a frog the other day.Saw the legs danging from the beak as it took flight,poor little bugger .

                        This morning I have planted a Yellow Iris and some water forget me nots in pond baskets and also put an American Water Iris versicolour in the pond,now this is only in a small pond basket do I replant it or should it go in the soil at the edge of the pond:smile: Thank you
