WORST SUMMER SINCE 1816

    That there is a proper, good honest forecast. I.e. 'Nobody has any idea what will happen'.

    Its been an usually wet start to the year so far round here. Contrary to popular belief, it is normally quite dry in the north east and we can go weeks on end without rain (but we never run out of water, because the poor lot on the other side of the pennines are only a few miles away, and we just take their water from if we run low). Yet this year I don't think we've managed a week without at least one day of rain yet this year.

        Look on the bright side - it's good news for my Lachenalia seedlings, and it could very well help my Canarina canariensis to bloom as well!
