TY @Scrungee , there won't be much choice left by 2nd weekend in September, I'm guessing....

Thanks for the tip off Scrungee, I got some at lunch time and was pleasantly surprised this year in that all the packets were still on the display stands, so it was much easier to find what I needed (past years they have just dumped them all mixed up on a big table)

50p Seeds can be ordered online!

If you're prepared to pay £1.99 P&P you can save on time & fuel spent driving around Wyevales and rummaging through thousands of packets in boxes only to find they haven't got anything you want.

For example (EDIT: think these are now both sold out, I might have bought the last ones )
        Orange Paruche tomato
        Suncherry tomato

        P.S. They are going fast!

Watch out for 50p prices reverting to full price in your basket and reduce then increase quantity to restore 50p price. Over 20 packets of £3+ seeds the P&P added another 10p/pkt, but I only found 3 packets I wanted in the Wyevale I was passing and the next nearest one would cost over £5 in fuel just to check what they have left.

N.B. Will have to watch out for this online next year and get in quick

Their ordering process was all over the place last night, you could add stuff to the basket, get to checkout and it was unavailable. So backtrack, remove item, go to checkout, try to pay again..more items unavailable.

But I did eventually manage to order these seeds:

          Cosmos bipinnatus Purity £2.99 1
Delphinium Magic Fountain Mixed £2.99 1
          Digitalis purpurea f. albiflora £2.99 1
          Tomato Shirley F1 Hybrid £3.75 2
          Tomato Sungold F1 Hybrid F1 Hybrid £3.69 2
          Brussels sprout Brodie F1 Hybrid £3.69 1
          Asparagus Martha Washington £2.99 1
          Celeriac Monarch £2.69 1
          Chard Bright Lights £2.99 1
          Hesperis matronalis £1.89 1
Salvia splendens Blaze of Fire £2.99 1
Sweet pea Floral Tribute £2.99 2
          Nicotiana sylvestris £2.99 1
Cosmos sulphureus Bright Lights £2.40 1
          Callistephus chinensis Palette £2.90 1
Cleome spinosa Violet Queen £2.90 1

Original cost £47.83, cost to me £9.50 + Postage.

Called them a little while ago and they are trying to get it fixed, they admit to it being broken start of last week...

          Steve...:)

Yes, it took me a few attempts, it appeared as if their website permitted more seeds than were available to be added to baskets, and the first to actually complete the checkout/payment processes got the last remaining packet(s).

But if they sort that out it should be great next year for getting in quick and saving fuel & time, but there was a limited amount of suppliers seeds available online, for example no Franchi seeds, so those visiting stores will still have access to stuff unavailable online.

Some of the climbers, trees and perennials are up to 50% off in my local Wyevale. Stocks are not as large as this time last year so possibly not so many bargains this year.

I had the same problem last night, @Scrungee , with some packets returning to their full price at Step 3, payment. I tried a few times, but then gave up. I'll try again today, but will probably find that half of my basket is no longer available...

I am not surprised, visiting the store they just count up how many veg and/or flower seed packets, they don't scan each packet. So they have no idea what actual varieties have been sold nor what is available in-stock.

The packets available online will be from their warehouse.

Deleting the quantity of just one of the seeds showing full price, then re-inputting the same quantity forces a recalculation which restores prices of all seeds in your basket to 50p.

Online seed sale now ended, I put a further order yesterday. No idea if it is still active instore as my nearest is 70+ miles away.

Grand Total £23.47 spent. Total saving £72.20

Thanks @Scrungee for the heads up on this.

The poster in store stated the offer ran until Tue 17th October.

70+ miles, that's finding an awful lot of 50p seeds you want before you break even.

Exactly, glad it was online as I would not travel that far just for seeds.

First lot of seeds have just arrived so postage quite quick..

I thought it was until 17th October too.. gutted. Had a basket ready, went back on last night and it had emptied. Seeds nowhere to be seen
