:yikes: Scary isn't it, time passes be so fast!
Having said that, I do usually have my cards written by the end of September.

Oh gosh no, we don't eat much over Christmas that is different from the normal food. None of us ,including the ' children ' like sweet stuff. I love being able to get fresh Brussel Sprouts ...my favourite veg!

We eat turkey, chicken and fish all through the year, haven't had Ham since hubs retired nearly 3years ago he use to have it in his packed lunch .

I don't mind Christmas pudding, but I am the only one who will eat it, so don't normally bother. My fresh fruit trifles are liked, so often have one on 'the day'.

We eat nuts ,dates ,all year too. I remember in my childhood days now such foods, even including Oranges and Tangerines were real treats at Christmas!

How things have changed, everything is now available all year round so nothing is 'special' any more.....except for sprouts!!:roflol:

We have a square of 85% cocoa dark chocolate with our mid morning coffee ,as they say it's good for you...not too sure about that ..but it's nice.:heehee:

My wife buys things when she sees them regardless of the time of year. Her family is so big and constantly growing. It would be impossible financially to buy everything at the last minute.

We buy our Xmas cards in January when Wilko reduce them to 10p a box. I think we might have enough for the next 15 years, so might have a break from buying them next year and save 20p.

Got some sturdy shallow cardboard boxes with Xmassy livery that Tesco had their bags of nuts in that we start collecting non-perishable stuff in. We've been picking local Hazelnuts and the Walnuts should be ripe soon. Some festive foodstuffs are already in our freezers and home made fortified wine (fake port) is almost ready. Got loads of bargain dog toys and Xmas dog treats (still in date) bought just after last Xmas for our dog and his friends. There's also the charity shop present purchases, and my wife and daughter buy me reduced gardening items from Wilko.

Then there's the last minute Xmas/New Year reductions, so Christmas shopping for us is 365 days a year.

We don't eat a lot of food just different from the rest of the year. We limit ourselves to just 3 chocolates a day, don't eat nuts. The Christmas pudding is good with having sherry in it, it gives it a good flavour.

Yes the very dark chocolate is good to eat but only have a square a day.

My wife is part way through making her decoupage Christmas cards for family and friends.
She started in August. Plus some for birthdays between now and the end of the year.
Here's a few, none are completely finished. Every one will be different.

Yes, I'm sorry about that, I thought the ladder had been left out by mistake and took it away to put in the Garage.

My wife puts herself under a lot of pressure making her cards.
She says it doesn't help if I start playing this on my leccy piano in September.
