Beet greens are one of my very favorite side dishes, however, my wife told me that they are impossible to find at the grocers. So I am growing a small batch hydroponically and they will soon be ready for the table. For nutrients I am using a generic water soluble nutrient and a little Epsom salt.

Have you tried adding sea salt?
Once heard that beet is actually a coastal plant and a little salt improved the flavour.
      Never tried it my self.

        Pete,
Actually I read the same thing several years ago. That said, getting the salt into the system is the easy part, but getting it out of the porous clay pellets would be a nightmare.
