Did a bit of pottering and started to move back into the bedroom after decorating now finished. Then we went to brother in laws for a family BBQ and a few speckled hens. Kids had a good play. Now getting ready for back to school tomorrow.

Sat in bed hungover watching the news then got up and put weed suppressant down and finished off spreading another huge bag of stones.

Headed home to bucks with a detour to cambridge to see a man about a job.

Got home and checked on greenhouse and fish etc and have played NES punchout whilst it's poured down.

      TIRED!

Went to have another look round and check on a few details this morning at the house we're buying.

The house is in fairly good order, the garden likewise. We've worked out that there's a space where we can put the summerhouse we have in our present garden. :)

I'm already making plans in my head for things I want to do in the garden, although Mrs Trunky says getting the house in order will be our first priority. :nonofinger: I suppose she's right. :heehee:

Just got back from a family history research visit to Gt Yarmouth to visit a newly found relative.

Come back to husband out on his bike and he'd left my greenhouse all shut up and not watered

We've just about recovered from Sunday's Cousin's Day. Twenty one cousins round for lunch, tea and supper - and the dishwasher packed up!!!

We're still eating the leftovers. :heehee:

Morning all, I was thinking of starting a thread just like this .......and after a bit of a search I found you all here l:bigthumb:

Well I've been AWOL lately as my younger sister became life threateningly ill after having her gall bladder removed 4 wks ago.
She lives on her own with no family close by so I have been up there with her.
After a very scary few days and nights when all her major organs began shutting down, she is now thankfully heading in the right direction down the road to recovery:spring:,we have been warned that it will be a very ,very long and bumpy road that my entail some setbacks......but at least she is on it!

This week she has done amazingly well thanks to all the brilliant nursing staff. She finally left Intensive Care on Monday, and then yesterday she was able to leave the High Dependency Unit and is now on a normal ward...:yahoo::yes:.

I have now returned home for a short while as she is now feeling up to having her friends visiting her.

Although this is her story ,I must say that it is now hitting me at just how physically and mentally drained I feel...So much so that I'm still sitting here in bed posting this....how lazy is that!!! Hubs has provided a lovely breakfast for me and a mug of coffee...

All this moaning about waiting times / cutbacks etc.....but what would our lives be like without the NHS.....they all do a brilliant job in such difficult circumstances...

:grphg:Ah @Upsydaisy big hugs to you!!!!

So pleased that your sister is on the mend. It must have been very stressful and it will probably only start to hit you now. You deserve breakfast in bed and a good rest.

Will be keeping our fingers crossed your sister keeps on getting better and better. Love the NHS, it real is the backbone of our society. Worked in it and know how much the people care and how much stress they are under to try keep everything working despite the constant criticism and set backs.
