They must be from a European/British line then.

That's a shame that you haven't got a big garden, but it's like around here some gardens are bigger than others.
We've got a big front garden because we're on a corner as we go into the close. The back is a good size also.

For some time on and off Barley has been passing mucus in his motions. He'll be alright for most of the day and then it will be back again. The next day will be the same as the day before, but today it's been worse. In the past i've stopped his food and given him dry toast. Then when he was better I would slowly introduce his food which is a sensitive variety. Get him on his food properly after about a week. Then the mucus would come back.
I've googled it and it said that dogs produce mucus to protect the colon but it can make a lot of it. Maybe because it's something that they've eaten outside or parasites like worms.
He hasn't done that and I've always worm them. He's alright in himself and behaving normally.

Just got back from walking the boys, had a extra walk because hubby had to go out, got soaked again had to towel them down and get all the muddy splashes off their fur. They get so dirty with this weather and it's still raining. It will probably be the same when it's time to walk them at 2pm.

Sorry had to edit my post this morning @Logan , made a typo. What I meant was originally you didn't believe me that there were American and English Labs when I posted about them a couple of years ago, despite me saying we had had both varieties.

I absolutely adore Labs, but I like all dogs really. My only bug bare with Goldies it that most slobber!! Only the other day I stopped to stroke one in our lane and he had long threads of drool hanging from him mouth and as he excitingly greeted me it all came flying at me.....Yuk!!!:yikes:

My Aunts Goldie is the same and one of friends too yuk, yuk!!

The reason why i posted this is, is there anything that i can do? Who said that it had to be nice reading matter?
Well you can like your labs and i can like my goldies.
They only drool like that when they've been sniffing at something or if they're waiting for food, they're not like that all the time.

Yes i know that there's both. But not like the one that your dad had.she looked more like a cross between a lab and a Goldie with the long fur around her neck.

He was a Pedigree with very superior heritage.....we have his certificate. My Dad has had them all his life and knows about gorgeous Labradors. He was pure bred Ladrador , my parents always had good pedigree dogs.

I don't mean to argue @Logan ,but other people have knowledge of dogs too. And you had the same argument with me last time too, inferring that my Dad didn't know about his own dog....he's had dogs for longer than you'd been around. :dbgrtmb:
