Not today but yesterday went and got some PYO cherries, was only there 10 minutes, came away with more than I can eat. The trees are absolutely loaded this year.

I had an interesting phone call. I shall reduce the 20 minute call to as little as possible here.

The phone initially showed it was 'International' and then it switched to a Manchester area code. The accented gentleman on the other end said he was calling from a legal company in Manchester that handles accident claims and wanted to ask me about my car accident. He said that he might be able to claim for compensation for me. :blue thumb:

I expressed my pleasure at that and asked which of my accidents he was referring to. He said that if I had more than one then he would deal with the latest one first and asked me to explain what had happened. I told him that I was parked in a car park by the river when another car came in and attempted to park near me. He suddenly accelerated and hit my car so hard that it went in the river with me inside it. I described the damage done to the car and said that I was dragged out of the river by some bystanders. He then asked whether I suffered any damage and I said yes. He asked me what happened and I said to him, I drowned!

For some reason he swore and slammed the phone down. :dunno: :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Always good for a laugh @shiney

I had one and told the bloke that I lost concentration when driving as there was a couple by the side of the road having a huge row, hitting each other and everything, I said even a policeman couldn't break them up - he said ''go on, what happened next'' I replied ''well, a crocodile came along and ate all the sausages''

He went a bit quiet and hung up.

I used to have great fun with them until I got Call Guardian. I've had only two of those type of calls this year and nothing in the previous three years

Having a lazy morning as I'm a tad achy as I've had a bit of a busy week. Monday I was up and down ladders taking down curtains to wash + plus normal housework duties. Tuesday had lots to do in the garden, sorting out the wind damaged areas, we were out there for 8hrs in total. Went for a walk yesterday morning before spending the afternoon back out in the garden .... so this morning I am reading up about ,moving/ taking cuttings of certain plants before going over to my parents place tomorrow. Will go out and tidy the greenhouse this afternoon...I keep saying that, but I'm getting desperate now as I have mislaid some gardening tools!:heehee:

A couple of weeks ago i washed the spare curtains to change the ones in the dining room, but i haven't changed them yet. They're so big to iron that i keep making excuses, at the moment it's all the fruit that i have to pick so the black birds don't eat them and make jam because there's to much to put in the freezers, when we have to walk the boys sometime i'll do it but at least I've washed them.

@Logan since they are washable and haven't shrunk you might be able to hang them and steam rather than iron - much easier :)
