Quiet day today as I'm on day 2 of a bad migraine.

Very hectic and stressful week having spent 3 days working alongside house clearance at my parent's , as fast as they emptied an area my sister and I cleaned it. We shut the door on it for the final time yesterday evening and it's new young family move in tomorrow.
Inbetween cleaning breaks I took some final pics..I will only post a few...I promise!!!:heehee:

And just before leaving.....the garden bench where our parents use to sit .

Upsy. I remember at one time. I asked if your parents garden had been professionally designed etc. Answer NO. From the phots you shared with us. It truly is a great garden. I can well understand that the memories of it and the part you played in the upkeep, will always be with you. Sorry about your migraine. Hope it clears soon.

          Thank you @Mike Allen .

As I said the garden was all down to Mum's planning and Dad following instructions!!!:heehee:

One positive note , yesterday we were asked if it was OK for the new people to drop of some of their stuff today and leave it tucked away in a shelter spot in the garden ( official handing over day Friday...yikes no today!!!:yikes:) The 'stuff' was garden related items..... sounds very hopeful:fingers crossed::spinning:

It's upsetting for me not to be able to go to Keith's any more, his place will probably be rented out. It was jointly owned by him and Marion, she needs the income and it would be best for her to do that. She doesn't get on with her partner very well but she won't move into Keith's place there's too many memories.

We didn't quite plan today to go like this.

For a couple of weeks we have been busy introducing 4 rescue Degus to our Old Ladies. Degus naturally live in big groups so we were delighted to have this opportunity to offer a home for some of these rescue girls.

Then one of the new girls suddenly turned rather curvy and after a chat with the rescue charity we decided that it's better to hand her back in case she is pregnant. The pick up was agreed for 1pm today, and at noon The Teenager prepared a box for a quick doorstep socially distanced collection.

              This is what she found:

              Squeek squeek squeek...

"Auntie, please can you lift me back, I believe I have just fallen from our nest... again"

Apparently the pups were born some time this morning, they open their eyes at about 4hrs of age. I'm working from home so told my boss that I'd better take the afternoon off as it's rather distracting to have hazelnut- size creatures crawling about the cage and promptly falling from the nest every 5 minutes. So we have been oohing and aahing, and agreed with the charity that we'll keep the family until Sunday to allow them to settle down.

It would be fascinating to watch the babies grow and to see the very social behaviour of the group when they all take turns to look after the pups, but it's just not possible so thankfully the charity has means to give them good care and eventually good homes.

As an added bonus, since I had the afternoon off we took a long walk in the woods which is not possible after 4pm when it gets dark. :)

The pups are getting cuter by the minute. They will have to go tomorrow or we'll bond too well. [IMG]

At 10am walked Barley because hubby went out. On our walk came across a new litter bin that wasn't there before, Barley didn't like it, he growled at it for a while before he passed it he's like that, Berry never bothered about it.

Going to purchase - for the first time ever - a new car. We've been drawn towards the new model Dacia Sandero because it's cheap and based upon proven Renault technology. Any one any experince of the old Sandero model?

Just look at the new 2020 model - it's lost it's cheapest new car look IMHO:
