It is raining, lovely rain for my parched lawn so I am doing indoor stuff whilst the newly scattered grass seed gets a drink.

I'm going to see a client, who is also now a bit of a friend, and she had told me that her latest moan is trying to keep track of transactions since becoming an acting power of attorney for her Mum. I'm delivery a few fling rods and other items to her but am also taking along a spreadsheet that I've made for her to easily input the transactions and track how much, in total,s he is owed each her for items she purchased for her Mum. That should make things much easier for her. :)

And my to-do list tells me that I will be cutting clear plastic for a small sunny day project in my yard.

And I'm inviting Sam and another granddaughter, Violet, up for some home made ice cream. And of course, my phone will be right there for Sam to decipher upload features - naughty Grandma... "have some ice cream honey .. oh, can you look at this phone?"..:heehee:

Yay- had my first Covid jab :hapydancsmil:Forgot to take the sticker and they didn't have lollipops :frown:

This required a trip to town which I haven't done since September. It was very nice apart from the metro being quite full (it takes you to the coast so being a sunny day, was full of beach goers) and groups of lads not wearing masks.

After my jab I... gasp... shopped! Visited all charity shops that were open and popped in Wilkos to finally buy the only article on the planet that can't reasonably be bought online- bamboo sticks.

It's nice to walk through the city carrying a bunch of tall bamboo sticks. You can immediately tell a fellow gardener as they look at the sticks and then smile in a friendly way. It's a bit like being in a secret society. :)

Green Flag renewal due this month. Renewal price - £79.52; new customer price - £72.80. So, a difference of £6.72. Very clever move Green Flag - £6.72 is on the border of 'I can't be bothered to 'phone up for a small saving like that' territory.

Good service from Green Flag - so I'm going to let this one slip through.

Next year it will be illegal to offer new customers better deals than existing - so all this nonsense will end.

New tool shed arrived this morning - it's taken 3 months from order to delivery. I've painted the underside of the floor ready for assembly this Wednesday.

I was told that it would arrive today between 7am and 9am - bit early that, I thought - however with great effort I leapt out of bed at 6.45am ready to take delivery.

The shed arrived at 6.40am - it was already stacked up in the driveway when I stuck my head out of the front window. Could have had an extra half hour kip.

Do you know, I've been so busy sorting out the tool shed I haven't watched any TV today. The strange thing is I don't miss it.

I barely watch TV, ever. In fact, if it weren't for the ladies in the house I would likely get shot of it completely.

Picked up my van after the new windshield was installed. :blue thumb:

Fixed an issue with my kitchen TV

Fixed the electrical problen with my Dacor downdraft behind the cooktop. I wasn't pleased with the difficulty of getting it to raise and lower properly. An appliance guy told me a couple of years ago it needed to be replaced. Big money, around $2k in Canuck bucks, before tax and installation for that so determination kicked in. Now it works properly

And spent time in the cellar cleaning out the side by side freezer section and the upright freezer. And then did the one up in the kitchen :dbgrtmb:

And now, having a lovely little red wine spitzer with loads of ice. It has just now gone down to 86f, so I needed a cold one

I have to renew my drivers licence - again!

I think they should just check on GC that I'm still around and then send it to me automatically. :roflol:

I've done it online, easy :blue thumb:) and they haven't laughed at me. :)

I think they make the on screen printing particularly small in order to check that your eyesight is OK :roflol:
