Your Day (apart from gardening) - what took place?

We played some cards and now T'other Half is snoozing so I have been continuing my writing on my childrens' novel. We will probably watch a movie then sit outside for a few hours before dinner.

 

Been a tad lazy this afternoon. The weather is gorgeously sunny so we've been sat outside since dinner. Had a video call with our eldest and his girlfriend.
Right time to knuckle down to some gardening jobs.

 

Also watching and listening to Spotlight on ... Reba McEntire.

I went out to lunch with a friend today, we were ex-colleagues. She talked about her cats and I talked about my garden. It was nice to talk to someone in person in stead of on the phone or email, I felt like a human being again.

 

@Upsydaisy that's a great place where you live but take it easy.
Have you tried swimming as a exercise? but not in the lake.

 

Yes use to go with a friend but not that keen. Another friend and I use to go to aquacise classes and had hoped to start up again once the pool reopened but I have been advice not to do any real exercise until a firm diagnosis has been made .

My brother and his friends use to swim in the lakes opposite our house way back in his younger days before his disability got acute.

 

Do you like Brooks @ Dunn , Reba has performed with them too.

This is a lovely one.

 

They played that one. Yes, it is nice. She is gorgeous and her hair is lovely but I don't care for it short. Did you know she is the "mother-in-law" of Kelly Clarkson?

 

It started at 9pm Upsy, haven't watched any tennis for years (used to play it as a child) but that was one of the best matches I've ever seen! The standard of play was incredibly high considering the fact that these girls are only 18 and 19 and I was on the edge of my seat throughout the match! Raducanu seems like a lovely girl who deserved to win and this is really only the start of her tennis career, I'm excited to see how well she does in future! I bet she'll inspire thousands of girls in the UK to take up the sport and we'll end up with an even higher standard of play.
