I can't drive and before we had the boys I used to go with him and when we had a new puppy it was better for me to stay with him. They can be left on their own now but we've just got into the habit. :)

When buying food online, miss all the offers.

Got lots of gluten free baking done so grandson will have pleasant lunches for his first week back to school. Baked some raisin scones for a friend. Went to my sons house to feed the cats and for some reason there is only one cat coming out to meet and greet. Now I'm worried that one of the little poos snuck out when I was putting out their recycle yesterday. Quite worried about that. I looked everywhere for it but no luck. I hope it is just hiding.

Had lots of watering to do down there and enjoyed that.

Mowed the lawn with the petrol mower because I got rid of the rotary jobby. It didn't cut worth ... and now I see lots of weeds in the lawn so my wnat did we do today in the garden will all be weeding for the immediate future:doh:

One of my gal pals and I are going to bundle an order for some fabric out of the US. And it took time to find the right ones online. Got them selected and all of it made there too :)

It's a bit of a Burger, John, when things don't work. I learnt, years ago, that certain sauces wouldn't come out of my T-Shirts or Jumpers so I'd lick and suck on the stain to get my moneys worth and then save what was left for Supper:heehee:

@john558 if you have such a thing as spray 9 over there it might work. Alternately, peroxide, tne strength you put on a cut, might help too. It may take repeated efforts for the peroxide to work. The other easy to source stain warrior is Dawn soap, the blue one :)

I work with fabric for a living and believe you me, these go tos are pretty reliable. If they don't work, a moments silence woud be adequate...and then you have a new uniform for horsing around in the garden :heehee:

Well if the stains don't come out it will be yet another top used when painting.

                        I certainly agree.

I think that the type of driver that upsets me the most is the tailgater. A recent survey found that tailgating was the top of the list of dangerous driving habits (ignoring drink/drugs driving). If they do that to me I just get slower and slower, and they usually get the message. There's a lot of discussion on whether, and how, to make it illegal under the 'dangerous driving' laws. I can't see how they can do that, but it may be a way of publicising the danger of the habit.

Mrs Shiney entered ten categories at the horticultural show in a nearby town and did quite well as she had only decided to enter two days beforehand. She got three firsts, three seconds, one third and two 'highly commendeds'. I was general dogsbody and did all the carting around. The flower arrangements (plants from your own garden only) had to be done on site so I had to spend the time setting up the display of the other things.

Outside the hall, on the fenced lawn, was some wire caging full of lovely chickens. One of the times I was going to the car to get more exhibits I noticed that one of the chickens had escaped. I went in and told the organisers and there was a rush of helpers chasing the thing trying to catch it. I wish I had a video as it was hilarious.

So far I made potato salad for a crowd, some hot pepper buns and some espresso ice cream got churned. Then I went down to drop off all the stuff I made yesterday plus some potato salad to my son's place and searched again for the missing cat. One neighbour told me they'd seen one matching that description early this morning so I figure at least the coyotes didn't get it yet. I went in search of it but since I don't remember it's name, I could only shout here kitty kitty:doh:Didn't get sight of it. Left a small bowl of food on the front and back porches. :fingers crossed:

I feel horrible about the cat fooling me and subsequently me losing her.
