Thanks, I'm sure all will be fine @CanadianLori . At the moment the phones are still dead and the internet cuts off every couple of minutes. Up until now all had been fine. It takes ages to type and post a response on here ....15 minutes so far!!!

No you haven't gone mad, I deleted it because i saw your next post about you leaving them. We only have broadband with virgin Media nothing else. Used to have BT broadband but very slow. Virgin Media seems to be the best one.

Still hit and miss as to whether we have internet and the phone is still dead. Sky sent Openreach round yesterday and they were outside in the lane all morning and completely baffled, in the end they have decided that new cables need to replace the existing ones along our whole lane. They have to contact the Highways Agency in order to completely close off the lane before work can begin.....we don't even have any passing traffic as it's a closed lane with only 6 houses spread out along it!!
Hopefully things will move on swiftly.

Went to see Keith this afternoon, sorting out his die cutting plates put them onto magnetic sheets and into plastic folders. I cut the shapes out, stuck them onto a piece of card and put it in the back of the magnetic sheet.

I've just been on the TV.

ITV4 - live coverage of the Tour of Britain - stage 5 - through Saltney - broadcast around 12.15pm today.

I'm the one on the right - outside Morrisons - green t-shirt - waving his arms like a madman

3 Months notice are required for a road closure.

You might find only 8 weeks notice are required for a closure of up to 5 days, but utilities may opt for a longer period in case they encounter any problems, as 5 day closures cannot be extended, and it would require a second 8 weeks notice peroid before they could complete the works.

I've just checked the highlights on ITV4 - just as the camera is coming up to Saltney - they go to a commercial break - so I'm not a highlight apparently. It resumes half a mile down the road at Airbus.

Went to the opticians to have stronger pair of glasses. I was told that the cataract in my right eye is slightly worse but not enough to have it treated, just stronger glasses.
