I adapted the recipe from one I found on internet as was concerned about sugar content. My recipe is lower in sugar but not low sugar. I have tried different chocolates to see how it affects the finished product. I did find that using Cadbury chocolate made the fudge even richer, but ita all down to individual taste of course. You can play about with the chocolates and mix them up a bit.

    300g milk chocolate
    100g plain chocolate
150g crunchy or smooth ( whatever is your preference ) peanut butter
Can condensed milk ( I use the light one )
    25g unsalted butter
baking tray lined with greasproof paper ( or cling film )

Melt chocolate, milk, butter in a saucepan over low heat on cooker until mix is silky smooth. Add peanut butter and mix until melted in. Pour into baking tray, leave to cool for a few minutes and then chill in fridge for hour or so. You can add decorations to the fudge before it goes into fridge if you want too ( I tried tiny silver and gold balls, which looked quite pretty ). Enjoy!

Sounds deliciously wicked. I'm gonna bookmark this for a grey Winter's day.
Wait a minute, there's a Summer flower and veg show next weekend and there will be a stall for crafts and bits and bobs. I think I'll make some for that - to go with an Apricot tart that I've promised,
      thank you LM,
      Jenny

And here it is - many thanks for the recipe @luciusmaximus . Worked well as per recipe. Next time, I'll warm the can of Condensed milk before adding it to melted ingredients. It will prevent mix from cooling. It is essential to work quickly with the mix once smooth - straight into container ASAP. I lined my 7" x 10.5 " Cookie tray with cling film. Made 800 grams but what with trimmings and guinea pig samples.... I'm left with 7 x 100 gram boxes for the Show. Great fun :yay: - how about Choccamocca & Walnut?

Yours looks a little darker than mine Jenny. And smoother. Did you use smooth peanut butter? I haven't tried it with smooth, always use crunchy. I made some yesterday and substituted the butter for sunflower spread. It tastes just as yummy.

Chocomocca and walnut sounds rather divine :) Might have a little go at making that next week. Do you have a recipe or are you going to adapt mine or even just make it up? Hubby likes the desserts I ' make up ' His eyes literally light up :) I have heard it said that a way to a man's heart is through his stomach.

Yes, used Lidls own brand= a lot cheaper..... For the coffee flavour I would dissolve a heaped teaspoonful in a teaspoon of hot water, stir it into the condensed milk until fully incorporated and add to melted mix as per your recipe. I would finely chop up 3 oz of walnut ( broken bits are good enough) and add them with the condensed milk at the end.
I do like the way it solidifies nicely overnight in the fridge. I wouldn't trust it out in strong sunlight though, it would go sticky quite quickly I think,
                Jenny

Don't show me how to get there Woo... :wub2: £1.45 per 100 grams? I'm obviously underselling mine then ! But it's for the benefit of our local Flower and Horticulture Society so I won't sting 'em,
