    Hi Kevin,

My apologies for not answering you sooner. I'm limiting myself on the computer at the moment due to an arm injury.

Your garden is looking lovely and the plants are maturing nicely. It won't be long before it's as you want it. :)

    Hello @Sheal

Thanks, there is still quite a bit to do that is difficult to show in pictures.

The plants are growing well, except for the Echinacea and Bonariensis which seem to be taking their time.

I think I have finally found the sweet spot for the Drip Irrigation which has taken awhile but is worth the trouble.

I hope your arm feels better soon.

    Kevin

      Hello all

      I hope you are well.

Well, I decided I would try and aerate the lawns as they were feeling hard and compacted using a Fork since they are only relatively small.

I started and the Fork would not go more than maybe 1/2" into the soil, so, I kept going nearly doing myself an injury and 20 minutes in I realised that the Fork I was using, a Border Fork, had square, blunt tines, idiot :wallbanging:

So, I swapped it for the Digging Fork and it penetrated the soil approximately 5", so, ideal :)

Repeat after me, I am an idiot :dunno:

      Thanks

      Kevin

        Hello all

Just a small addition to the garden today :)

I have added a 4lph Dripper to the Water Feature, no, not to make it grow but to offset evaporation.

So, 4lph for 1 hour a day, three times a week should replenish the Water Feature, for the most part, I will see how it goes.

        Thanks

        Kevin

          Hello all

          I hope you are well.

The birds have discovered the Water Feature, about time, it has been there since 2019 :)

            Hello all

            I hope you are well.

The first flower on the Iris has opened and there are more buds to come.

            2021-06-14T11_51_54+01_00.JPEG

This is the first time the Iris has flowered since it was planted in 2019 so I am really pleased :)

            Thanks

                Hello @Upsydaisy

                Thanks for the reply.

I will be glad when the Patio and Paving is finally re-laid in early August so that I can move forward.

There will be the furniture, a small(ish) Buddha and Bird and Insect Houses to come.

                Thanks

                Kevin

                    Hello @Upsydaisy

                    Thanks :)

At the moment I am waiting on a Rosemary Officinalis to replace one that died, probably my fault :) , a Buddleia 'Buzz Sky Blue' to replace a Buddleia that was seeding all over the garden which was supposed to have been sterile and a Clematis 'Picotee' to replace a Clematis 'Nelly Moser' which kept failing.

The Rosemary Officinalis was dispatched on Saturday so should be here shortly, the other two have not been dispatched yet but should be this week some time.

There will be more photos to come.

                    All fun :)

                    Kevin

                      Hello all

Well, the Rosemary Officinalis and the Clematis 'Picotee' arrived today so they have both been planted.

Hopefully they will both settle in well, especially the Clematis 'Picotee' which is replacing a troublesome Clematis 'Nelly Moser'.

Now, I am just waiting on the Buddleia 'Buzz Sky Blue' which has a dispatch date of 23 June so hopefully I should have that this week, hopefully.

                      Thanks

                      Kevin

                        Hello all

                        I hope you are well.

                        Just a minor update.

The Setts that were laid around the front lawn in the wrong stone (Raj Green) have now been removed.

It looks so much better as I now do not have to look at the wrong stone every time I am in the front garden :)

Next, I need to tidy up the edges and make sure they are equidistant from the fencing all the way round on the two straight edges, then to look for someone to lay the correct Setts.

                        All fun :wallbanging:

                        Thanks

                          Hi Kevin,

Would the person who's re-laying your patio area be able to lay the setts?

                          Hello @Sheal

I contacted the Landscaper who is doing the work this morning.

Good news, and bad, as always :wallbanging:

The good news, he is going to visit sometime this week and let me know how much extra it will be to lay the correct Kandla Grey Setts around the front lawn.

Now, the bad news, apparently there have been some problems with the supply of Natural Stone products from India involving the transportation of the Stone from the UK Ports as the cost of transporting it was doubled and no one wanted to pay the inflated prices.

The issues have apparently been resolved but in my case the Landscaper has been delayed by approximately 4 weeks.

So, rather than having the work done in early August it is going to more than likely be the end of August or the beginning of September :wallbanging:

It seems that If I did not have bad luck I would not have any luck at all.

                          Thanks

                          Kevin

                            Hello all

                            I hope you are well.

I have just received the Buddleia Buzz 'Sky Blue' so that has now been buried, sorry, I mean planted :)

So, I now have a full compliment of plants again.

This is how the back garden looks at this moment:

                            07-07-2021_10-02-59_0001.jpg

You can see the Buddleia Buzz 'Sky Blue' to the right of the Hose Reel.

                            Thanks
