They’ve a bit of weight to them. 2 strong people shouldn’t have an issue shifting one. 60kg ish.

I managed to get it off a truck then round the back of the house and up a couple of steps on my own by shuffling it along the ground. Two strong people could lift it without too much effort, I would have thought.

I carried mine up the garden on my own, by undoing the bolts on the cage and slipping the plastic tank out, it then become more manageable in two pieces. The tank is an awkward shape but quite light, the cage is much easier to shift. Two people will easily move them without dismantling.

Think they are euro pallet size 1000x1200mm. A lot of small panel vans might accommodate one.

Our group on our allotment bought one last year. Easy to move between 2 people when empty. We have it stacked on pallets. You might also want to consider buying a tap adapter (about £6 on ebay) as the actual outlet hole is quite big and even if not open fully the pressure when full is quite high.

I am now tempted - the chap at the farm where I bought 2 blue barrels says he'd sell me an IBC for £30. What do you think? Of course, I still have to source the van...

£30 is cheap - can the chap at the farm deliver too?

Unfortunately no delivery... I've just looked online and £30 is common on ebay for white ones, black ones are £50 (all + delivery of course). So I'll stick with my blue barrels for now.
