Ha ha.... reminds me of the cricket match, the bowler is Holden, the batsman is Willey

 

@Jenny_Aster I do remember the reports of that comment but Brian Johnston claims he doesn't recall ever saying it. I just want to believe that he did! So funny. I loved listening to his commentaries and when he would be reduced to his infectious giggle over other comments such as the 'legover' (not said by him) but it caused him to 'corpse' laughing so that he couldn't even carry on with his commentary, and the 'Illingworth has just relieved himself at the Pavilion end'. There were several more. He was a great commentator.

The Holding, Willey story is genuine, I have heard it several times, followed by minutes of sniggering, like naughty school boys.
