Its pretty much how elections go these day, where ever.
You dont vote FOR anyone, you vote AGAINST the one you like the least.

Its not how its supposed to work.

But none of em are worth a vote.

Since Trump appeared the USA has lost any worldwide respect it had and has now got Banana State politics...............but I'm pretty sure that is what Trump intended.:dunno:

For any 'Back to the future' fans, Trump is near to Biff Tannens world where Biff was President.

The Mail has reported that Meghan Markle hasn't ruled out standing for president in the future.
On the basis of needing a less popular opponent i guess they'd need the likes of Joseph Stalin or Trumps son to stand against her.

I haven't ruled out standing for President either, but then it doesn't mean it's true, (you read the Mail????:dunno::doh::heehee:)

Willie has always disliked Trump since he wanted to bring in the new immigration policy (separating parents from children) so wrote the song a couple of years ago.

I was going to stand for president but am working on my future campaign for being King.

I'm hoping that Trump loses to Biden and that once Brexit is complete Boris perhaps goes and the adults can be back in charge. I'm also ready for disappointment!

Not that I'm cynical but i fear Trump will have this election fitted up good and proper.
I'll be pleasantly surprised if he go's quietly..
                      :please:

We have Adults in the Politicians????:scratch::dunno: The last Adult Parliament reduced itself to a complete mental and political log jam that was not even interested in the result of the Referendum, or the people it represented, but it's own ideological and financial interests if my memory serves me right.

So will you be disappointed if you're not disappointed?:doh::dunno::heehee:

I always, somehow, connect Trump to a quote, I think, in an Asimov novel where a character says "I always tell the truth, and I am lying now."

I thought it was Al Pacino in "Scarface" that said it :noidea: - but it doesn't alter the truth of it :loll:

But Nietzsche put it well when he said - "I'm not upset that you lied to me, I'm upset that from now I can't believe you".

And Roosevelt said - "Repetition doesn't transform a lie into the truth."

Now, I knew someone would quote that "Scarface" line:dunno::heehee:,

"I always tell the truth, even when I lie." This quote, by Al Pacino in the movie Scarface

but no, I either read it in a Asimov novel or in a magazine of Sci-Fi stories. A Brother-in-Law of mine had a collection of 1950's
                            Sci Fi magazines/books such as......

                            Sci-Fi Adventures
                            Super Sci-Fi Science
                            Galaxy
                            Quarterly Science Fiction

which all had Sci-Fi stories in them.

which he loaned me a few copies in the mid 60's. But that was the first time I read the original line, while the Scarface line is just a modification..........and that's not (Sci-Fi) fiction:heehee:

Well I didn't think you wanted me to quote Epimenides "Liar's Paradox" :lunapic 130165696578242 5: but it was also used in Hitchhikers Guide, the original Star Trek and and the early Doctor Who.

I really can't remember Isaac having used it but he probably did as most science fiction used it against robots. :dbgrtmb:

I've still got lots of his books. :)

Why oh why do the UK media insist on ramming American politics down our throats ?
Night after night day after day Trump said this Biden said that, blah blah blah.
Uk politics is depressing enough withou having to be bombarded with American politics which we cant change as we cant vote in it.
Its actually worse than the 24-7 Covid updates
