anyone have a colocasia?

Well am still waiting for signs of life from those but have been to the garden centre and found a black one!! Was chuffed to bits :yho: and before i saw the price i thought I'm having THAT!!! It's a colocasia illustris. How long do they generally take before they get any shoots on them??? I planted the tubers about a month ago.

Yes Bob they do grow quite quick which is prob why they like lots of feeding!! Mine is in a pot and I added water retaining crystals and a bit of fish blood and bone so fingers crossed. I also noticed today that one of the tubers I planted looks like it is rying to grow a leaf!! YAYYYYY.
