It blew through like a train and left trees down everywhere - Certainly all over Sussex Have you been affected? If so leave your pics.

It blew one of my 10ft Cordylines over at 45deg, I've roped it back upright now and fingers crossed it will recover.

Lots of branches down and a large one, from my neighbour's garden, was blocking the driveway.

There was a small amount of damage to other things but, when we heard that it was on its way, we made the decision that this was the time to have one of our large poplar trees cut down .

It was rotting through and even if the storm didn't bring it down it was likely to weaken it further. As we shall be opening our garden again in May it has become a 'Elf & Safety matter.

Wasn't that when the great divide occurred? :dunno:

 You know the one ....

... where our humble British Isles separated from the Continent? (Originally and not by referendum?)

Not a large tree as such, but it ripped out the main stem on my strawberry tree on the allotment.
