      Artificial grass can also become slimey, make sure you have adequate drainage, brush it regularly and yes you may have to use a suitable moss and alage killer regularly, especially if it's a shade spot, also try to keep it clean of any contamination, unfortunately synthetic grass is NOT maintenance free as a lot of folk think
