Didn't know metaloides came in red and yellow, when I had it some years ago it was white with a lilac tint around the edge, was very scented in the evenings, but flowers only lasted one night.
Got my seed off a rubbish dump in Las Vegas. :D
Should add they were growing on a plant, not in a packet. ;)

Why not plant the bottlebrush in the garden?

I grew mine from seed about 10 years ago.

Incidently they are very easy from seed. Pick a pod, crush it and about 100 tiny seeds will pour out. They germinate in about 3 days.

Last year Garden news gave away datura seeds. They were a mixture of white, cream and purple double and triple flowers. I saved the seeds from the purple ones and have 20 plants in my greenhouse and garden now.

It does seem a bit late for planting to flower this year, but if you can overwinter them and the red spider mite doesn't get them first, you could have a good show next year.

This is a cream one from last year's free pack.
