Box Blight Symptoms

    Hi

    Im wondering if this is Box Blight ? The box is close to a busy bird feeder and we initially thought it was something to do with the birds, but now we have noticed the same symptoms on another bit of box at the other side of the house.

      Yes it does look like it mick assuming it's not just been too closely clipped. I know Monty Don is always talking about it on Gardeners World, I don't think there is much you can do to stop it.

      My box part of it anyway looked like it was infected again today. Growing flowers too close to it in summer restricting air movement has done for it. The wet mild winter hasnt helped either.
      Today i sprayed it with old recipe jeyes fluid hoping it will slow it. Sprayed it 2 years ago with nimrod t which is now banned which seemed to clear it up.
      Failing that some garlic spray might help or if you know a farmer or professional grower they may be able to get you some stronger fungicide that will help out.
