May 2 ordered a batch of interesting bulbs to be delivered in September and they are:
50 Poppy Anemone (goes in my main garden)
1,000 Early Snow Glories ( to fill in further my front lawn joining 2, 000 others)
25 Lavender mountain lilies (putting these in the heath and heather slope)
25 Pink Snow Crocus (not sure where these will land, they are pretty)
And just remembered, got to find those yellow snow drops been wanting.

As most of you know we already have 60,000 bulbs on this property. Most late springs now are spent separating what we have. Love finding the unusual, and filling in blooming time.

So anyone else order bulbs for the fall?

Just got another book out to order the tall Alliums from. Not sure the type yet, but it will be nice to review with a glass of wine this weekend and then to order a about 50 or so. Have to get those yellow snow drops too. No one else ordering any?? Really???

      I'm "thinking about it" :)

I did order some Martagon Lilies, I expect they will arrive soon ...

What Yellow snowdrop are you after? I have quite a few unusual snowdrops, and most of them are pretty fussy (and expensive!). I'm figuring that it will be YEARS to get any of them naturalised. I went to a "twin scaling" propagating demonstration in June so hopefully I will be able to bulk up the unusual ones more quickly - if I do that right.

Thanks for the head's up on Chionodoxa - I've never really considered it before, but it would suit out Blue and White border and I might give them a try :)

Have you got the same Alliums as us over there? Schubertii and Christophii are amongst my favourites ... every order seems to come with yet more freebies of Purple Sensation, which I think are incredibly boring (apologies to its fanbase!), planning to add Mount Everest and Azureum this season.

I've started growing a number from seed if that counts?

      Various Lachenalia species including L.viridiflora.
      Ferraria foliosa
      A couple of Bulbine species
      And some more Albuca

Just bought some more Fritillary species bulbs (and started some Snakeshead Frit seed off too), some bulbs for an Ipheon hybrid, various dwarf Iris species bulbs, and some Pushkinia bulbs.

Currently cruising the early Ornithogalum species lists.
