    A definite possibility for the future but not this one. I'll have to look into the setup

    +1 for buried tanks. We put in 2 x plastic septic tank containers of 3,000l each, to take the rainwater from the roof, with overflow to the pond. Then a pump buried in it's own little 'box' under the terrace slabs. Will finally get around to organising a semi-automatic drip-feed watering system for the terrace pots this year :) The IBC tanks that take the rainwater from the garage and cold-store are disguised by ivy.

      @Loofah I must admit I have 2 of them either side of the terrace by the sitting room, and 3 more ugly ones taking water from the glasshouse where they are less obvious. Around here you can buy big plastic drums and IBC from farmers very cheap. I am thinking of getting an IBC and windscreen washer pump (maybe solar powered) to set up elsewhere.
